Dreamy Avo Dressing
Mmmm. Melt in your mouth. Floating on a cloud. Icecream. Tangy. Oh sorry... you're here!
I was just describing to myself the texture of my latest favourite recipe. Not quite a guacamole but not quite a dressing. Hmm. Yeah I know, it's not that often that you have left over avocados (at least, not in our big family) but this day we did and I got the taste of an avocado dressing in my mouth. So I grabbed some avos and made some and this is how it turned out! Dairy, sugar, gluten, ect... free!
Dreamy Avo Dressing
2 1/2 Avos
3 T Lemon Juice
2 lg Cloves Garlic
1 T Olive Oil
2 t Salt
2 T Savory Yeast Flakes (optional)
1/2 - 3/4 cup Water
Method
- Blend all ingredients until smooth!
It's that simple! For a thinner consistency, add more water.
Kale Seaweed Slaw
I'm not a fan of raw cabbage, I'm not a fan of kale - cooked or raw (except in smoothies :P), but I'm a fan of this salad! I was skeptical today as I helped "Mum" make it but as I smelt and tested the dressing and I smelt it all mixed together, I couldn't wait to try it. When I did, I was sold! And you will be too!
1 Bunch Kale, washed, destemmed and shredded
1/4 Cabbage, shredded
1/2 Cup Arame Seaweed (soaked 10 min and drained)
DRESSING
1/3 Cup Olive Oil
2Tbs Lemon Juice
1 1/2Tbs Unpasteurised Miso
1Tbs Agave syrup (probably could use honey instead)
2Tbs Onion Powder
1 Clove Garlic
Method:

1/4 Cabbage, shredded
1/2 Cup Arame Seaweed (soaked 10 min and drained)

1/3 Cup Olive Oil
2Tbs Lemon Juice
1 1/2Tbs Unpasteurised Miso
1Tbs Agave syrup (probably could use honey instead)
2Tbs Onion Powder

Method:
- Combine the ingredients for the dressing in a blender ad blend till smooth.
- Massage the kale for a few moments, to soften. The mixture should take on a 'cooked', broken down appearance.
